Hey Everyone !! I am STILL days later on cloud 9 from how everything went with the wedding. You can NOT out plan God, this has been the lesson.
Wedding Brunch Schedule:
Ceremony 11am
Coctail - 12:00-12:30
Brunch 12:30- 3:30
WEDDING MORNING-
4am- I jump out of bed remembering husbands shirt is at his apt and we stayed the night at my moms, I throw on sweats and run out house to get it. When I got back, my mom was up and she offered to iron it for me (remember they just all wore suits and didnt bother with renting tuxes again) and said to go back to sleep if I could. Dont want bags right !
MUA was supposed to be at my house at 7am, wich I always felt was too early. I found out later it was because he had to be somewhere at 9. I woke up 6:30, rolled over and txt him "still 7 am?" he text back "running about 20-30 behind" I text "better". I got up and went and got some bagels for the people that would be coming to get ready at my house. I spoke to him again about 7:20... running a lil later, he GOT to my house about 7:45. Fine with me.... I thought. Except that he now didnt have time to do my girls faces, then got the nerve to tell me, that he dont have time...Dude, u were late for YOUR own schedule... any way he did a FANTASTIC job on me and my bestie needed some concealing because she had broke out. He quickly applied a clean base for her face with a lil Eye shadow and didnt charge her. The other one is a make-up diva anyway. PLUS my MUA is the person that taught her how to do make up and they were BOTH happy to keep their $50.
9am, I get a call from Photag - IM AT THE VENUE... CRAP!! whered the time go? I grabbed up my stuff, me and the girls RUSHED out. We were supposed to pick up one of the girls bfriend, I asked Wayne to do it, he said he would. My other friends that came from NY were almost there. I gave them a midpoint to meet us, and they followed us up to the venue. When I get to venue, I get a call from my mom "where are waynes shoes?" O NO !!! they are at his apt. I said to her,. Wayne apt not to far from BM bfriends house, make the shoes your last stop before the venue, it will be fine. (yes Im a problem solver...I thought)
10am -we are at venue, phone rings "Babe u have your keys"...me "OF COARSE!!" wayne: "well your car is behind mine and I cant move....." CRAP !! My mom ends up getting wayne & decides she is LEAVING BM's BOYFRIEND!!...NO NO NO.. I
that guy & it was his first wedding and HE was up since 7am and ready since 8am waiting in his house. We are NOT those people, NO. I told husband on the phone " THE WEDDING WAITS FOR CORBIN, I DONT CARE"... He said "ok, but Im not getting the shoes" this dude showed up in his beat up pumas...LOL
11:45 (45 min after ceremony was supposed to start) they still werent there, Guests were mostly on CP time and I had warned a few of my punctual people that we prob would run a lil late... lil did I know. They got off the highway and GOT LOST within a mile of the venue.... REALLY ??? The venue started passing hor deovers to the guests in the ceremony space and the dj played some "pre ceremony music"..
12:10, He got there and within 10 min ceremony started. .. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL !!!
GOD MADE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR US /> THe weather was perfect!
We forgot about the bubbles, my camera was still upstairs and we had ALOT of no-shows. I was glad we went with the choc fountain because in the final 24 hours I lost alot of adults and gained alot of kids. I didnt care tho. It wasnt a night time wedding and the kids LOVED it. They went in on the choc fountain to.
