Budget Friendly Escort Card/Place cards

Hello All, 

I am looking for a budget friendly escort/ place cards idea. I tried Vista Print but MOH said it is tacky for me to write the names. Plus with that option, wouldn't I have to purchase a card holder? But they are expensive when you need to buy around 200. I am trying to find an option that will cost around $50.

Im doing a ribbon board with the escort cards on it. Personally im handwriting the names. I think it gives it a personal touch. I have seen people just write out the names. Dont think its tackey at all.

I ordered mine here: http://wedding-paper-products.com/Escort-Cards.php They were reasonably priced and custom designed to coordinate with my other wedding stationary. Service was fast and the designer was always responsive. I used flat cards and had card holders that held rows of 10 each. I think there is also the option to have her create a template if you want to DIY.

If I am reading it right the cards are on sale for $.50/each and includes printing.  That's a deal for sure!

What's better the seating chart or the escort cards??? I personally never understood it but I have always wanted a really nice seating chart
