I was in the ER 7 years ago when I get bit in the face by a dog. Last time I was admitted I was 3 and just had a seizure.

hah yeah. Fi was kinda the odd ball in his super ultra christian town growing up , as his entire family is Unitarian (they even opened the church there). Has your fi looked into that? It's pretty cool, although Fi and I haven't found a good church up here (mainly because we're lazy and slackers...:P )  
Although I would call the "higher being" "God" .. It seems synonomous with the phrase "higher being" whether someone is a monotheist OR poly. *shrug*

I would have to say I agree with you on the movies .. Which is hard for me to say because I love Lord of the Rings and HP so much, but those don't count since they are books, not Originals. Have you seen the Great Escape? Omg.. adorable old movie.

Sparent- I was thinking the same thing when I was reading your responses.

You're right about the pre-90's movie thing too. I feel like every new movie coming out lately has already been done. Red is not original, but it is on my love list of newer movies right now.

FTL- I'm constantly calling people douche bags in my head, and occasionally out loud. I just think douche is a funny word, so it amuses me while I'm swearing at them.

There are newer movies I really like, but the ideas are not as original as I would like them to be.

I liked Priest, I am Legend, That weird Alien invasion in LA movie. Even Avatar- though it was like space Pocohontas. Lord of the Rings movies were reallly well made.

The most original movies lately are the anmated movies- Despicable Me, Bolt, Up, Mega MInd etc. I love kid movies... I own them all
