NWR: Father's day

What, if anything, are you getting your dad (or a dad, father figure, father of your kids--whatev)?

My dad is the WORST person to buy for and my sister and I can't think of anything!

my dad is very easy to buy for~~ clothing. all his clothes suck

he normally wears hand me downs (or hand me "ups" from my brother....).or something my mom found and thinks is "cute"...which leaves him wearing either old school gangsta rap logo clothes, or something that is pink and orange and fits too tightly on him.

i generally buy him 2 or 3 outfits from banana republic outlet..(same for his bday)

for H, the daddy of my dogs, i bought him a bbq set. just something generic and fun..like 8 bucks from ross or something.

Ugh, I'm terrible and really dreading it this year. That's because it's the weekend before the wedding, and therefore I'll be in full crazy and too busy mode! We're planning on a BBQ at FI's parents house and inviting my Dad over. As for gifts, my dad is the impossible "Don't spend money on me" type and seeing that this year, we po' I'll just make or buy him a nice card as that means the most to him.

haha, i love that your dad will wear your brother's gangsta clothes!

my dad is really hard to buy for. my parents really don't like when we buy them gifts because they hate us 'wasting' our money. I'm seeing my dad this weekend so I'm gonna scope out something he needs and purchase! I'm not sure what we'll get FI's dad.

My dad is easy to buy for because he never complains - you can get the crappiest gift for him and he'll still say he loves it and will totally use it/wear it/read it.  I'll probably end up getting him some books - or he also seems to like dvds of tv series that he used to watch back in the day...

hahaha i usually make him change if he's wearing something i don't like...he is pretty much caught up on the rules......but if i run into it, i will. lol.

unfortunately, the gangsta rap stuff he wears around the house..so i might be able to catch him in some fubu wear sooner than later.

Well, he hasn't let me know if he wants to do this or not, but my sister and I have offered to have him join us for the www.furry5k.com/" target="_blank">Furry 5K in Seattle - a run or walk (with your dog!) to support the Seattle Animal Shelter! I think it's wonderful and it's taking place on Father's Day!

I haven't even thought about this.  My dad is impossible to buy for and doesn't like gifts, he just likes us to hang out w/ him.  We'll probably just spend the day playing games or going on the boat.

I am getting him a portable speaker for his iPhone.. He can travel with it and listen to music anywhere!

Not a clue as to what to get my dad.  I'm thinking probably just a gift card to The Keg so he can get himself a good steak that won't break my bank. :P

I haven't spoken to my dad in almost 6 years so I am ok there.  My daughter picked out FI a really special birthday present (birthday is tomorrow) that would have been better for a father's day gift.  She picked him out a WoW shirt that he liked for father's day.
