Bridal Makeup $$

Hey Ladies, I'm gathering quotes to get my makeup done day-of. About how much should this cost? These quotes seem a bit high...but then again, everything is high! What are you all doing for your makeup?

I'm doing my own...I've gotten pretty good over the years..as long as I have my space and its not chaotic, I will be ok...I may have to lock myself in the bathroom!

kris there's a growin trend in an explosion of makeup "bars" all over the place.  they're called something different in each city but the point is a full professional face shouldn't cost more than $40 (not including lash application).   if you have a M.A.C. near you I also hear they'll beat your face in a back room for about $50.    Application technique is important too.  I didn't know what airbrushing was till I saw some chick getting all beyonce'd out in the mall.  I love.   but it's a touch more expensive.

So after paying a "professional" for my wedding and getting my face done by a MAC consultant for NYE (don't ask, something about getting my make up done..I just like to). Hands down recommend making that appt at the mall! It's worth every penny that's less than what you will pay someone else but this of course depends on who is doing it at the counter but there is bound to be someone that comes highly recommended. So definitely do a consultation with them before anyone else! As sultry said, that girl beat the bejesus out of my face for NYE and that's what you want for your wedding!

I'm paying $55 for my consultation/bridal portrait makeup application. My day of is "free" since I am paying for my 5 bridesmaids, which are $45 each. Plus she is coming to us! But Ie received quotes for as much as $300 for just the bride's day of!

I paid $125 for my day of hair and airbrush makeup including lashes . If I went to her it would've been $75. It was worth every penny to not stress or be rushed. I had one stylist who exclusively worked on me while the other 5 did my girls.

Thanks ladies! Fi just came to the rescue!!! He has a friend who is a makeup artist and will do all of us for free as long as we fly her here! Thanks to my work travel, I have plenty of frequent flyer miles saved up! #bestnewsever

Yeah most the quotes I got here in Houston were $70-$100 for the trial and then $130-$200 for the day of....just for me! 

Had we not come across the friend who is a MUA, I was going to go with MAC. I did call and confirm that they will do it for $50 in a private room so there are no interruptions, and you have a set 1 hour appointment. Can't beat that w/ a stick!
