On a cake server set.  What kind did you get and how much was it?  Is this something that I can cut costs on?

I plan on getting just a basic $10 server. We got a basic set from BBB. We actually registered for it and received it as a shower gift (which is pretty common). You can always skip it and ask your venue to provide one.

We did the same thing as adgenya. Registered for the cake set & our toasting flutes & got them as shower gifts.

We got free toasting flutes from Crate & Barrel when we created a gift registry there, so we'll be using them.

We are using the caterer's cake serving set - we will never use it again, so this is an area we are cutting costs on.

I bought a $6 cake server set from JoAnne's. I think I had a coupon for 20% of that. I think Michael's has something similar.

I got a $10 cake serving set from Walmart. It came with a white bow and I just changed the bow to a navy blue one and it looks great.
