Is anyone else beside me...why is my FI such a procratinator??? all I have asked him to do is PREPARE HIS PORTION OF THE GUEST LIST and by GOD he is slow dragging. I am getting frustrated and fed up and I am about to just lose it.

He also hasnt called his other best friend to ask him to be a groomsmen so I told him dont even worry about it I will move my 2 cousins up that I have as ushers into the groomsmen spot but he is like no,no,no.

Everything else is fine but this!!!!! He is really taking the enjoyment out of planning this wedding.

Dont feel so bad about it girl because most of our men, so I have read, have had procrastination issues one way or the other. That list is a big deal. Maybe you should over exaggerate the importance of it so that he can get a move on it.

I actually went around DH to get his guest list.  I knew he wanted to invite his close friends (thank God there weren't many) and I got the rest from his SIL since they'd only gotten married a year before and she still had the list.  Then I spoke with his mama about who she wanted to invite (her list was very short!).  Then, one night I asked him to look at the list and tell me if there was anyone on there he didn't know. 

You may have to go to a family member to do this, but it worked for me.  I'd probably still be waiting for a list today if I hadn't done it!

My sister has a theory about men:  she says they are the way they are because of the missing the "leg" on their Y chromosome!  Her "scientific" theory is that organization, planning, etc. is in that missing piece!

Just a thought.....

4 months and no list yet? Girl, we need to get a drink!  Hopefully he kicks it in gear and get the ball going.

i am having the same problem with mine we're 6months out and i dont have all the addresses yet and my save the dates have been SITTING at the stationers waiting for the envelopes to be printed

I hear you girl!!!! Same thing with mine . Yet he doesn't like when I say he's procrastinating . ( SP) Lol . He promised like million times : " You're doing so good baby, I promised , starting next week , I"m going to be more involved " well , NADA. Procrastinating, procrastinating!!!!!

I am part of that group...mines sucks when it comes to planning anything...I want him to give me a guest list and him and his mom keep inviting random people and not telling me about it???

im with you! he hasnt given me or even attempted to find out all of his sides addresses and he is dragging on picking out his wedding attire. 6 monthhs away and no stds sent out yet....

Show him a guestlist and say, " we finally got our guestlist done & these are the people who will get an invitation". Act like its a final list. He may give you some names right then & there. That's just me....I play mind games to light a fire under his ass sometimes...lol.

I think i had to ask my fi that at least once a day to get the about 1-2 people for the list We finely got it together and now he still want to try and add and remove people.....GRRRR....But you gota love em...lol

I LOVE THIS!!! And so doing this tomorrow, because I am sick of explaining the importance of the guest list and begging for his names! UGH! LIL01, thank you for the tip! lol

Yes I agree with pp put some fire under his butt. I also went right to FMIL and got what I wanted. After a while he did give me a few names and he's still missing addresses so I told him that we're having a date night this weekend with the gurst llst so he better give me what I need. Good luck
