Registry Question

Where did you ladies register for gifts? I purchased a home about a year ago amd he has his own place, so truthfully there isn't a lot that we will need.

Re: Registry Question

  • We are doing a small registry for upgrades like bath towels, sheet sets/comforter, pots and pans and other small kitchen gadgets. Im just doing pennys and bbb . I really am hopping for monetary gifts to makeup for the honeymoon. So it wont be too big. You could always use an upgrade on stuff. Also maybe try doing a HM registry they have those now where ppl can donate to that instead of buying an actual gift.
  • Do a wishing well registry. Put something nice on your website about how you both have places and basically don't want gifts but would rather checks.

Here is a site with some wording examples:

You could always do a Honeymoon Registry!

Fi and I have lived together for the past 2 years, but we want some matching towel sets, more dishes, and some nice pots and pans. I registered for those appliance type kitchen, bed and bath stuff at macys and target. (and bloomies but I don't anticipate anyone going there).

  • We combined 2 households also. We got 3 couches in our living room right now and about 6 sets of dishes. lol. We're doing a registry at target/macys for "high ticket items" so people will be inclined to just get us a giftcard somewhere. To be real about it, i'd kind of rather want necessity items such as toilet paper or something useful.

  • I used a website called eregistry.com. It was real easy to set up and I put it on my website.   You can put the store information like from Target or Bed Bath and beyond and you can register for the honeymoon or cash gifts.  I know some say its Taboo to register for cash, but hey.....it is what it is.

  • We regisered at Crate & Barrel, Macys and Target. We're in the process of combining households as well, but we registered for towels, a duvet, luggage, etc. We didn't register for china since we already have formal china.

  • Now that I think of it, I probably SHOULD put a new bedroom set on one of these registries. We are going to be moving into my place and my FI has given me an ultimatum about the pink and green bedroom with the pink accent wall. lolz.
