So I had my interview with Lionsgate Entertainment yesterday and I think it went well BUT I was told that there were some other candidatesthat I was competing with that have more experience. I have an advantage since I already work in the entertainment industry.
It is all a matter of what they decide to do. The position I applied for is a Tax Staff Accountant position and my tax experience is in the beginning of my career. I will say that they LOVED my writing samples and said I hit ALL the high points and it was VERY well written...WOO HOO!!! :-)
We will see...God has got this!
As far as the VCA goes (the place I felt, VERY strongly about), take a look at the email that the recruiter sent me...
Greetings Kanieka,
Just off the phone with Claudia. She shared that she thought you are a terrific talent, who would fit in well with their team but that they have selected someone whose experience better fit the job.
Thank you for participating in this search.
We will keep our eyes open for you
Is this disappointing?
OF COURSE!
Am I going to let it get the best of me?
OF COURSE NOT!
God has his plan for me...
I think I am going to let go the whole thing about wanting a new job for my 30th birthday. I feel like I shuold NOT try to put a time limit on God's plans. I am not saying that it is completely out BUT at the same time, I need to NOT have a "deadline"
I do want to thank all you ladies for all your prayers and such encouraging words of wisdom...it is TRULY helping me through this whole process...
LOVE YOU LADIES!!!
