NWR: Interview and Update

So I had my interview with Lionsgate Entertainment yesterday and I think it went well BUT I was told that there were some other candidatesthat I was competing with that have more experience. I have an advantage since I already work in the entertainment industry.

It is all a matter of what they decide to do. The position I applied for is a Tax Staff Accountant position and my tax experience is in the beginning of my career. I will say that they LOVED my writing samples and said I hit ALL the high points and it was VERY well written...WOO HOO!!!   :-)

We will see...God has got this!

As far as the VCA goes (the place I felt, VERY strongly about), take a look at the email that the recruiter sent me...

Greetings Kanieka,

Just off the phone with Claudia. She shared that she thought you are a terrific talent, who would fit in well with their team but that they have selected someone whose experience better fit the job.

Thank you for participating in this search.

We will keep our eyes open for you

Is this disappointing?

OF COURSE!

Am I going to let it get the best of me?

OF COURSE NOT!

God has his plan for me...

I think I am going to let go the whole thing about wanting a new job for my 30th birthday. I feel like I shuold NOT try to put a time limit on God's plans. I am not saying that it is completely out BUT at the same time, I need to NOT have a "deadline"

I do want to thank all you ladies for all your prayers and such encouraging words of wisdom...it is TRULY helping me through this whole process...

LOVE YOU LADIES!!!

I am glad to hear your interview went well last evening and I am glad that you are at peace with how things are going with your job search.  You know the song "He is an on time God, YES HE IS!" so you know to just stand still and let God do his thing.  Again, I am looking forward to seeing the post when you announce your new and terrific job. :)

Just keep pressing, I agree with you about having a deadline, remember with God there are no limits. For the longest I kept saying i wanted to be married by 25...well 25 came and went and when I finally let it go and forgot my time limit I met my fiancee, it wasn't until I was like i'm over this crap that it happened and we met....i'll be 27 by the time we get married

The rejection email is the worst thing to get.

Don't let it get you down, there is an opportunity out there for you.

I'm glad the interview went well and remeber not to stress about this or put pressure on yourself.  Be thankful for what you do have; you do have a job and a way to help support your family so it could be worst.  I will continue to pray for all my AAW sisters. Have a great day!

Keep pressing on. Whatever position you have been denied may not be the right one that God wants you to have. Hold strong and continue to have faith
