RSVP Vent

Our first deadline was September 4th. We sent out some B list invites with a deadline of October 4th or 8th.

Why am I still getting RSVPs from the 9/4 deadline? Why?

To make it worse it's mostly FI's folk and they are literally tearing it off and putting in the envelope:  no name, no accept or decline except for the one today who changed my 1 to a 6.

 I told FI I am no longer accepting them from the first deadline with the exception of the deployed military personell on the guest list.

This is ridiculous! Why are people so bold?!!!

No words is right because my first words were not going to be christ like smh...
She rsvp'd for adult children and grandchildren who were not invited

Yep...people are bold and have nerve. They feel like they are entitled to YOUR wedding and can invite who they feel like should be there. Honestly, I would determine who is this person to you and go from there to make a final decision. If she is not a family member, then, I would call her up and ask her who is she RSVP'g for because you only have 1 seat. So you can either give your seat to someone else or she can have the seat for herself. But you do need to know. At that point, she will either be mad and decline or accept for her 1 because boo boo...you can't have 6! Lawd....

My deadline was September 12th and I am still getting RSVPs with my final numbers being due on Friday. I am being a softy only because we haven't met our minimum guarantee as of yet. So I am still accepting and yes, like you, it's FI's family but I am cutting folks some slack cause most are flying from the east coast to the west coast and especially for FI's family cause the wedding is very heavy on my side. Right now he has one table and I have 10. Do what you have to do but don't let them get to you!

Cha... lol I cut her down real quick. She went from 6 to 2 and I acquiesed because she is coming from Houston and didnt want to fly alone. Since (like ro's ppl) my FI has no ppl coming I let it slide.

Ro I feel you! Right now FI has 3 tables and I have 20

Yea...I feel you on that one. Let her have 2 so she won't be alone. Great!!! Gald it worked out. Most people do understand but they will try to get away with it if you let them....at least that's what I learned in this process. No one actually was upset though. They understood, but you have to check them on it. :-)

Ro- You do know that is NORMAL right??? Weddings ALWAYS have more for the bride than the groom. Don't know why they just do.

No how about this. Any people may have mixed emotions about it. My MOH (Maid not matron) and 1 of my BM called me yesterday and said.....so this invitation says I can't have a +1?

My response: When did you start dating someone? We left the +1 for only people who were engaged / married, which is why I didn't invitie anybody who didn't know somebody else that would be there. We had a list of 320 people trying to cut to 150, 180 max....no random dates. Sorry.
