NWR: PLEASE tell me if I am wrong...

Ladies...I created my friends shower invitations a couple of weeks ago and asked for your opinion...

Anyway, they have decided to change their colors...no problem

My friends significant other "created" the invitations with the new colors and completely stole my design! They look almost identical.

Am I wrong for being upset about this?

PLEASE let me know.

If they wanted the colors changed, all she had to do was tell me and I could have gotten it done.

At this point, I think I will just sit back and be a guest...

I had ALL their paper items covered, games, gift tags, favors, etc.

Not wrong at all, I would be upset. All they had to do was ask if there was anyway of changing the colors. Some people just dont appreciate hard work of others.

Enjoy being a guest. (just me) but I wouldn't offer to them again.

No... you are definately NOT WRONG!!!!  Moving forward... do extend any other information or suggestions... and sit back and be a guest... It will save you soooo much unecessary stress over something that could and can be avoided... Let it go.

I agree with pp you are not wrong at all for being upset you did all of the work and then they go and change the colors but keep the design, they could have told you we like it but can you change the colors? Problem solved. I would sit back and be a guest.

Was this done on purpose? Is there a possibility that they felt like they couldn't approach you about the changes for fear of hurting your feelings? I just want to make sure you aren't upset for unintentional behavior. BUT if this isn't the case then you have every right to be upset. Just don't show it.

I'd be upset, but I do assume they didn't know any better. My question is...if he can re-create your design, why the heck didn't they jack someone's creativy from online someplace and not waste your time to begin with?

I think you have a right to be upset. Sit back and be a guest and if she approaches you for another project, tell her how you feel.

I totally agree with the others just sit back, smile, and be a perfect little guest.  Your memory bank is the best thing going for you when they decide to want something else.

you are not wrong. I would be salty: 1 because they wasted your  time , 2  stole  design and felt like they could not go to you when they decied to change the colors. Yeah definitley just go as a guest.

That's really sh*tty! I'd feel insulted and get into guest mode too. But that's just me...and pretty much the rest of the ladies here. LOL Yes, I'd be hurt. Not cool at all! But be graceful. Smile and never let 'em see you sweat.
