So I was on one of the other boards...a girl asked posted a poll, everyone gave their own opinions and I of course gave mine, when another girl basically said she felt I was attacking her parenting skills/lifestyle choice...

So yea, I might lurk on the other boards, but I'll stick to posting on this one...don't have time for the pettiness...thanks for being nice,classy and supportive ladies of the AAW board:)

    Petty is the knots middle name if you're not on this board. I gave up even lurking because those women can be down right disrespectful and what's worst is that you can't even punch them in the face when they get on your nerves...

    That's why I am so happy to have found this board! Plus, I just don't feel like these ladies can relate to me. I just left a board where a woman had posted how she has pulled together her wedding on 2,000 dollars and those women went nuts...
    Saying that she was being condscending and rude and people can have a budget wedding ANY amount of money (Go Figure!)
    I'm so glad to be here... so VERY glad.

    I have found that the only other boards I may even considering posting anything is my wedding month board (January 2011) and perhaps DIY and Houston (that board is pretty dead anyway).  Here is where I have found the most sound, mature and supportive people!

    I saw that!!! I felt so sorry for her she even posted an apology!!! It was ridiculous. I'm a lurker as well, I do post on the student board and my month board. My local board is dead, I posted on the military brides board once...big mistake...they act as if they're drill sergeants or something they are super rude some of the things they say to others are just horrible. You guys are the best!!!

    Omg...I thought I was the only one.  I have been so scared to ask questions because it gets so snappy so quick.  This board though is a stark contrast. I am so glad I read about you guys in the knot magazine!

    Meeko84, Weren't they just awful to her?! I sent her a private message. I need to send her another message so I could invite her to this board.
     There is a woman on that board that I just cannot STAND. She is always snarky and RUDE. That's why I had to find another board. Those women are just too much.

    i visit other boards and post a little.  if i see the post is trouble, i usually say nothing.  i think that's why i haven't ventured over to the nest yet.  i've seen posts over there and they're crazy!  i'll just stay over here :)

    I have to agree with all of you. This is why, with the exception of my local board and February 2011 board, I mostly lurk. The E board? Forget about it!!!!

    The ladies here have always been extremely helpful and kind. Kindness really does go a very long way. Too bad more people don't realize that.
