BM Dresses...What and where?!

Okay ladies I am having a hard time figuring out what dresses will fit all of my girls! Their sizes range from about 6 to 22 (I have 6 BMs). I need to find the dresses at a good price, too (nothing over $100, looking for around $70). What are YOUR BM dresses and where did you get them??

David Bridal is awful but it may be the cheapest place. We went to all that shimmers though and then googled the dresses and found one of the that was $120 at ATS for $70 online. I am sorry i am not that big of help. I also heard alfred angelo? can be cheaper. I think they are similiar to db.

Depending on when the wedding is, maybe wait until after Prom season to see what deals can be had?

I dont know about finding a dress for 70...you might jsut have to go to macys or somewhere like that and hope for the best!   As far as styles def a thicker material and somehting with rouching will look good on everyone! Good luck

Also beware of dresses online! Much like designer purses, sunglasses, etc the dresses you find online are either knockoffs and poorly made or someone's old dress, which both can turn out great, but you never know!

Unless you're at DB getting a sale, most other bridal dress shops aren't going to have much in all those sizes for $70.  Sorry.  I didn't like any of the DB dresses, and even there you'd probably need a sale.  My girls tried theirs on at bridal shops, then got them online for $125 (plus alterations).

So... maybe they need to go to Penney's, Target, or Kohl's - basically, non-bridal shops.  Their dresses are closer to that price range, and they generally carry the fuller sizes.  Here's some ideas -

    - Penney's carries the larger sizes - http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/x5.aspx?DeptID=50434&CatID=73944&cmAMS_T=X3&cmAMS_C=C9&CmCatId=50434|73759
    - Target has fewer larger sizes - http://www.target.com/b/ref=pd_sim_cat_1_9?ie=UTF8&node=144457011
    - Kohl's carries plus sizes, but I don't know if they carry the same dresses in all sizes - http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/womens/dresses.jsp

Another option that would probably make things really easy for your girls is if you to just tell them what length and color to get, and they can go find what they want in their size.  Black is of course the easiest to do this with, but you can do it with any of the colors, so long as you're flexible and willing to have them not be *exactly* the same color.

Ruching is fine, but can be hard to find on the more affordable dresses.  At a minimum, we plus-sized girls usually just really need some good support up top (straps help), and an a-line shape.  Dresses that go straight down from the waist look godawful on me.  As do dresses with a lot of pleating at the waist.  A simple a-line works every time.

i agree with pp that most dresses will be more than 70 bucks. Unless you pick a color, and let the girls find a dress wherever they want. I agree that JC Penny has a great selection of all ranges.

I just got back from Bellevue Bridal... Buying bridesmaid dresses and they were so awesome! We went after the store closed and had champagne and snacks and the two women were soooo helpful! A little more than your price range but they had a great selection and were really easy to work with!!!

Therickson - what is the price range at Bellevue Bridal for BM dresses? I was told by a friend to go check them out and I'm just curious..

I was so out of it today I didn't really check =( the most expensive dress one of my BM's picked out though was $150.00. This was also just sticking to one brand (Jasmine)... I think they averaged about $120.00. I know this is more than you posted but everyone was really happy so I thought I would mention it!

Another suggestion though  My FSIL found her BM dresses at Nordstrom Rack for $30.00... I think her BM ranged in size from 2 - 6 but it is worth a shot!
