VENT!!! Ugh...Negative, hating people!!

Ok...I'm not one to vent but I'm soooo frustrated right now! Why can't people
be happy for you when things are going your way or when they see that you're happy? Why must people be so negative all the time?? Here's what happen...I created our wedding website for our guest to visit and get more information about our wedding. We have a guestbook so our guest can leave comments on there. It's always nice to read the comments and I look forward to reading all the new ones. Now all of a sudden someone has started leaving negative comments on our guestbook!!!! Are you serious? How pitiful can someone be? If you don't like the fact that we're together just sit there and have a pity party by yourself. Don't come on our wedding website and leave nasty comments about us!!! And the bad part about it is the person isn't even bold enough to leave their real name! I'm so frustrated with reading the negative comments that I just went ahead and disabled our guestbook. It's a shame I had to do that. I just don't understand what goes on in people's heads sometimes!!!

Wow! Who would do that?!? That's so low... it is a shame that one bad apple has to ruin it for everyone.

That's pretty sad. Can you not just delete the certain entries or set it to where you have to approve comments before they "go live" on your actual site?

That really sucks that someone would take the time to do something so childish!

I really hate to hear this...it is so sad that people want to cause harm during what should be such a happy time for you two. Not everyone wishes you well, but if you stay focused on what's important, they lose.

Awww, that sucks. I am sorry that happened to you, it would definitely be upsetting and extremely frustrating. 

Do you think you can put a password protection on it and send out the information with your invites? It's a shame that you put in all that time to create it and for people not to see it and get the info.

True I would do like the previous posters, see if you can keep the page open but have to approve the comments before they are posted. Hmph don't let them monkeys stop your show. It's your wedding your way.

Thanks ladies! I'm going to check to see if I can approve the comments before hand or I might just add a password like some of you suggested. I wish I knew who it was though!!!! I hate negativity...it's so pointless!!!

I have haters in my family, so eventually you become numb to it. No matter what, it's still sad and a little depressing especially when it comes from your own ppl.

I'm sorry to hear this is happening for you. It's sad to say but there will always be someone that will not be happy for you and it really has nothing to do with you but more with that person. A lot of the time they are upset because it's not them that's experiencing such posted who they were since they were bold enough to leave the comment to begin with.  I hate how people do things like that and hide behind a computer but wouldn't dare say it to your face. Best of luck to you! You know you are doing something right when you have haters following your every move!
