I feel like I'm overplanning!

Our wedding isn't until next May, but I can't help but want to get everything done NOW, lol.  I'm DIYing as much as possible, and I want to get started on all of the various projects.  Part of me feels like it's waaaay too soon to be doing all of this, but the other part wants to get as much done this summer as possible (before school starts up again for me in August).

Have any of you guys felt this way?

I definitely felt that way last year, and then I stopped doing anything for the wedding for months. Now I find myself with about 3 months left, and SO much to do, mostly DIY projects! So plan away, DIY away! It will only make it easier later.

As long as you don't change your mind on decor/projects. then i say go for it! DIY tend to take a lot longer than we imagine, so might as well get all the tedious stuff done when you have the time and are not stressed out. Im getting married in another state, so a lot of my DIY will have to wait till the week of the wedding. I wish i could be getting them done now.

START NOW!!  I DIY'd invites and started really early on them so I wasn't rushing to get through them.  It has been a great piece of mind that I could work for a couple hours and when I got bored/tired/annoyed I could walk away and time would still be on my side.  They have been done for about 2 weeks - sitting in a box waiting to go out.

I still have a bunch of projects to complete and I don't know that I'll have enough time to complete them all now, even though I have just under 100 days to go!!

The more you have done early - the better you'll feel as the wedding approaches.  Espeically if you'll be starting the school up in the fall...and the holidays are not far behind.  Spring will be here before you know it!!

But be sure to post pictures as you complete them! :)

I think it's totally fine to get started DIY-ing now, but try to resist buying a lot of stuff for decor, etc. for just a little longer.  I'm finding that the things I loved 10 mos. ago, I'm now wondering why I ever thought it would work.  It helps to give it a little time to be sure that you want now is what you'll want next May.

    p.s. Everyone overplans.  It's ok.  :)

That's the thing I'm most worried about is changing my mind about things.  Though, for the most part (dress aside, lol) I obsess over things so much that when I finally decide on something I've considered almost every other option.

thats how i feel about things too sweet. esp these invites, which i have thought about nonstop for the last two months. I finally decided on a design theme andI will be placing paper orders this week and hopefully assembling the last week of this month. I think i will be seriously stressing about time though. i feel esp bad, now that amanda's has hers completely done and her wedding is a week earlier than mine. ahhh!

I'm also getting married next May (305 days to go!).  From January to May this year I was in super planning manic mode, but I've chilled down a little.  I've been engaged since October, so I've had a while to think about decor, what I can DIY, etc.

As long as you are sure you won't change your mind later, DIY your booty off!  Especially if you will be starting school in the Fall.
