Hi
I'm new to this site and am not quite sure how to work it. I have been trying to get my ticker to post at the bottom of my posts, but I cannot figure it out. My fiancé and I have set our date as May 26, 2012, what should I start doing now? We are on a budget and would like to get stuff cheap, but we don't want a that will do it wedding. We want a spectacular wedding!

    For the ticker look over on the left and click on "wedding ticker" after you create your ticker you can copy and paste it onto you siggy by clicking on "update signature" on the left also.

    Have you and your FI already set a budget? Are you planning to do any DIY projects? I think you can start off by trying to figure out your colors. You and your FI should decide how much you want to spend in each area (ex: dress, coordinator, photog, etc). Start collecting pictures of dresses, decor, and cakes that you like and put them in a note book. If your going to DIY then make a list of what you want to do.

    Since your newly engaged relax, take a few breaths and enjoy the calmness of your engagement while you can!

    you should set a budget and really discuss what you're wedding style is. figure out exactly what it is that defines "spectacular" to the both of you. in the wonderful world of wedding planning "what I eat wont make you _______" lol once you figure out what you can realistically afford, start looking into the color schemes and just have fun with it. Welcome to board, we're glad you're here! This board is SO GREAT

    Welcome & congrats! I agree with others. However once you set a budget, browse magazines & websites to find out your style, what you like and don't like, and research prices for different vendors in your area. Network and shop around so you can get what you desire, but for a reasonable price.  

    Take it one step at a time, relax, and just enjoy your engagement and planning process! Smile

    Thanks for all of your help ladies! We have a few things planned out. we have decided to have the wedding in Pine Bluff by the water because I love water! Seeing as I do have a lot of time, I guess I can just chill a little and take things at a slower pace. My mind has just been racing trying to wrap around the thought that I'M ENGAGED!!!!
