Alcohol vs chocolate

I got an email from the venue today listing my options to upgrade for my credit.

Its a brunch reception and it included Mimosas, beer, and wine already.
He said we could upgrade to full open bar or chocolate fountain....

I am leaning toward the chocolate fountain..... what do you guys think... I mean its mid-day sunday... are folks supposed to be getting lit?

Things that are included for the fountain dipping....
Strawberries
Bananas
Pineapples
Coconut Macaroons
Oreos
Marshmallows
Gram Crackers
Rice Krispy Treats
Pretzels
Lady Fingers

  • I would go with the chocolate fountain since you already have the beer and wine.

  • I say this as someone who thinks cocoa should be its own food group.   Alcohol.  Buying a room full of my friends a drink? now that's a party.  Buying them a candy bar, not so much.  Aside from that if it's not costing anything extra, I'd rather they comped me the bar and if i felt that compelled, i'd pay for the fountain out of pocket to have both (because they can't really be the same price can they?).  But i'm greedy like that.  long story short what i'm saying is i'm too practical not to take the more expensive option.
