My fi and I had decided to make a cd of songs from our wedding to hand out as favors.  We were going to use Outkast's  cd cover for Aquimini as our cd cover but in our wedding colors and not that rainbow.  the reason being is that i am an Aquarius and he is a Gemini (how sappy are we)

My mom went to my Godsisters wedding this past week and what does she bring back with her.. A CD OF LOVE SONGS FROM THE WEDDING MADE BY THE BRIDE AND GROOM.. (booooo) 

So we went back to the drawing board for favor ideas.  I priced wine stoppers and then we went to the local liquor store that we frequent. The owner told us that since we are regulars (how sad is that) and since its for our wedding, he would give us a discount on cases of wine.  so we placed the order for them.  I then got on the internet and made labels to put on the bottles. and ordered the wine stoppers.    We are going to get cases of sparkling apple cider for the non drinkers and do the same. 

bottom line is I GOT ANOTHER CHECK!!! woo hoo and i am happier with these wedding favors than i was for the cd.

WOW!... I'm sorry that first Idea got chucked.. but Congrats on the check and being happier with the new favor idea!

Excellent!

I was considering the wine also (and to be honest, since I'm having a hard time deciding, I may do both), but I'm not liking the prices I've seen thus far ($150/24). Did you get the small bottles?

I did.. i ordered Barefoot's  Pinot Grigio.  The owner gave us a wonderful deal on them.  $68/24.  i wanted to just hug him! lol

WoW!  Congrats on the check!  I went the easy way out and just got some Jelly Bellys to give out as favors.  I was talking to someone about my wedding and they said it is crazy how it is yall day and people are suppose to be celebrating with you but you end up paying for their meals and gifts to give them for coming.  Lol!  I never thought about it like that so my guest can happily eat there Jelly Bellys or not and at this point I don't care lol! That is my favor it's better than those Jordan Almond candies so take it or leave it. Lol!
