Jumping the Broom?

Are any of you ladies doing this? If so, where did you get your broom from?

Yes! We are. I actually got two brooms from the dollar tree and my bridesmaid decorated it. Cost about $15 or less I think for everything.

Also jumping the broom but haven't looked into where to get one.  I didn't think about Dollar Tree though so I'll keep that in mind!

Yes we put two together to make it a little thick. It was last fall though. At the time I could not find a broom at the crafts stores for some reason. But they have them for at $3.

This is the one I was looking at too... I would have to add/change the colors. And I was trying to see if I could find one cheaper or if that was my only hope...

I'm jumping the broom but I was just going to create one using stuff I bought from Hobby Lobby so it won't look like a traditional jumping broom but it'll get the job done. I want it to be unique, personal and some sort of cheap so I think this'll work for us (so I hope :P)

We are jumping also. A friend of my mom did a broom for another wedding (the first time she ever did one) and it was beautiful. She is just a really crafty person and looked forward to having something to do since she is retired. She is doing my broom for free and she is buying all the materials. I know she will most likely be getting everything from Michaels.

i made mine.  i didn't find one locally.  i'm a crafty person so it was fun to do.  i bought natural straw, ribbon and flowers from hobby lobby.  i used part of a pine limb i cut down from our backyard.  i added cowrie shells to the handle and on the straw.

you can see DH and I in action in my sig pic :)
