My dress is being special delivered....

by my Fiance! I just got off the phone with DB authorizing him to pick it up. Which was no big deal except for the fact that they questioned me if I was sure he being the groom could pick up my dress. lol! He promised he wouldn't look. lol! With work this past week and the fact I was in the store the Saturday before with one of my BM (they sent the email early Monday morning--I'm thinking they had my dress the whole time ugh...)I just didn't have time to make the 4 hr trip to pick it up. (2 hours both ways). Fiance is coming this down this week for our premarital counseling and asked me did I want him to pick it up to save me a trip. He's a sweetie! So yay for my dress and my FI coming to me!! So excited! Have a great day ladies! I'll probably be away from theknot for the weekend!  See ya on Monday!

That's so exciting.  Awwwww what a great FI.

I wonder if my FI would have enough will power to not take a peek.  He claims he doesn't wanna know what the dress looks like till the day of but I'm thinking if he had it in his hot little hands, he might not be able to resist taking a little peek

I hate to say this, but I really advise you to pick your dress up yourself. You need to inspect the dress in the store to make sure there are no defects. Once you leave the store with the dress, there is no recourse. I say this because I went with my friend to pick up her dress, it was grossly defective. I'm talking stained, dirty fabric and a busted corset!  It was a nightmare.  I know it's a pain to make that drive, but either have fiance carefully inspect the dress or pick it up yourself.

You know winnie makes a good point.  I was going to say kudos to your FH for helping you out on this but you probably should be the one to pick up your gown.  Also, they may show the dress to your FH to check for defects, etc.  So he may have to see your gown regardless.  Anyway, it is still very nice of him to offer to pick it up for you.

Hey Everyone!

I got the dress and everything was fine with it. I looked it over and no problems.  I thought about that as well in making my decision but if there was a problem I was going to make the trip back anyway. I just didn't have the time and they've been calling telling me to pick it up and since FI was making the trip right past the store he went ahead and picked it up. Also, he picked up a BM dress for one of my BM would could not make the trip as well. So all good!
