Engagement Photo Tips?

We finally booked our photographer and I am SO excited. We are going to do the engagement pics in early may and I am just wondering if you guys have some ideas in terms of what to wear/not to wear and where a good place to go is.

Wear complimentary but contrasting colors - basically don't both of you wear black, or red, etc.  Also, avoid small striped shirts since in some pictures they tightness of the lines can look funky especially since so many pics are digital these days.  Do your makeup a little bit heavier than normal.  Get plenty of sleep the night before.

i think bright colors are best. def get your makeup done.. i did mine for free at the mac counter...

down town, pike place, the library, kerry park, a lot of people say discovery park, the arboretum. All great places to look into!

UW is a pretty place to get them done too! I didnt mine in Pikes place post alley. I got my make up done for free at the mac counter as well and the only thing I paid for was fake eyelashes... they actually do look natural in my pictures. Express has great clothes since they have a mens side too! They have fun bold colors!

Oh that is a great link, thanks! I think we narrowed down the location. I went out and bought some brown eyeliner. I have brown eyes so I always go with black but I think that brown will be more natural in the pictures. I like the idea of getting my makeup done but we have to be up and ready to go by 10 am. Do you think any makeup counters open so early?
