Brownie Points For FI

FI knew that I had been stressed lately, and was going crazy sitting at home all day everyday. So, he booked a weekend getaway to Leavenworth, two nights of German fun :) Any knottie suggestions on where to eat?

    Last time we were there we ate at the mexican restaurant and that was pretty decent!.. We have eaten at Krystaals and the Post Office tavern. Everything has been fine so far at the "popular"places there. What are you in the mood for?

    I'm not really sure what I'm in the mood for, lol. I guess I will decide right before we eat. We do have a full kitchen, so I will probably do a big breakast both days (I feel wierd if I go a whole day not cooking). FI's weekends are Sunday Monday so we aren't leaving until tomorrow night.

    OMG, the Mexican restaurant is called South, and it is some of the best food I've ever eaten!  You have to go there, but make a reservation or go during the day.  It gets CRAZY busy.
    Make sure to take a walk down to the park on the river.  It's really pretty.  And if you get a sweet-tooth, go to the gingerbread house.  Have fun!  I love Leavenworth, in all its kitschy glory!

    I love, love, love Munchen Haus (or something like that) - that's where we go to get the best bratwursts!  Krystaals and the Post Office are fun too!

    yes mucnhen haus is fun, i like hte outdoor patio/ huge fireplace which makes for a good beer drinking environment. have fun!

    I took my FI there this winter because he had never been.  We really liked Visconti's Italian, they had good food and REALLY good service.  They have the Leavenworth Brewery beer on tap, the Dunkelweizen is very nice, Blind Pig (bottled it's called Boulder Bend and not as good). 

    Now I want some beer....

    I love Leavenworth! Lucky girl. ;) When I go I always go to Muchen Haus, delicious brats and beer! Oh and you have to go to the Cheesemonger shop! It's a must stop when you're there. I love cheese. :D
