SAMPLE SHOOTS HELP

Hey ladies,

If the sample shoots turn out amazing, we're going to use them for our engagement party.I need some advice or helpful tips for taking pictures with the photog this weekend.

1. Should I wear a sari in some of the pictures? Just to see how it looks and what not?
2. Bring sets of clothes or no?
3. Natural make-up or what?
4. Would our house be a bad location for some of the pictures?

Any suggestions or whatever is much needed! THANKS!

    1. Should I wear a sari in some of the pictures? Just to see how it looks and what not? YES! I think the traditional clothes pictures are always the coolest...
    2. Bring sets of clothes or no? yes- to have a variety.
    3. Natural make-up or what? i would do a step-up from natural so that it photographs better- especially if you are wearing traditional clothes.
    4. Would our house be a bad location for some of the pictures? why not? as long as  the background won't be too distracting.

    Our house has a waterfront...there's a dock in our front yard.. I think it'd be nice to have the boats in the background and to have pictures in a house thats OURS.

    1. Should I wear a sari in some of the pictures? Just to see how it looks and what not?- For some pictures, do a formal and non formal shoot both!
    2. Bring sets of clothes or no?- Yes
    3. Natural make-up or what?- Hmm, dont go crazy with eyeshadow, it takes away from natural or light feeling that engagement pictures should have in my opinion, engagement pictures should be light and playfull and fun..I did some eyeliner and mascara a bit of shimmer blush and boom done :)
    4. Would our house be a bad location for some of the pictures?- Sounds like your house is located in a beautiful area, def. use it! Also, I saw one photo shoot where the couple was chiling and having wine in their house on the couch..I found it so natural and cozy, so you can even take some natural posed pictures of your everyday things that you do with him..like making breakfast..better yet have him make breakfast haha, or since you mentioned he is a bartender have him making drinks.

    We had our session today and I totally took your advice on everything Ladies! I wore the sari, i had 2 different sets of clothes and i wore a decent amount of make-up..nothing too heavy. =)

    jnsaini, we took pictures in and around our house and on our boat. the photog took candid pictures that turned out realllly awesome! i also took your suggestion on having FI mix drinks. =) although it was a little too late for breakfast, we had the photog take pictures of us BBQing and it worked out great because we included some of FI's friends that were in town from London. CANT WAIT TO SEE ALL OF THE PICTURES! WILL DEF. POST THEM!! THANKS!!!
