Wedding Hair

I have my hair and make-up trial coming up this coming weekend.  I thought I knew for sure how I wanted my hair but now I'm becoming indecisive.  I prefer to have my hair down but i know it's going to be scorching hot and if I put curls in my hair I'm worried by the end of the night my hair will be flat as a board.
I have these to put in my hair:

I also have 2 dresses so i want something that will go with both looks. Here's pics of the dresses..

Long:( ignore whats in my hair in this pic)

Short:

I know you ldaies have AWESOME ideas so any and all suggestions will be appreciated!!

Re: Wedding Hair

  • Is your hair naturally straight? Because I find that my hair stays curly longer in heat and humidity. I think the spirals would look great with curls if thats what you decide to do. Btw- I love your reception dress! You look so cute.

  • I have straight hair too and curls really don't last very long in the heat & humidity =( It sucks because I love my hair curly!!  I think a cute updo like this would work with both & you'll be able to put those hair pieces wherever... (p.s. so jealous of your long hair...still wishing I wouldn't have chopped mine off! taking FOREVER to grow back!)

  • If curls is what you have your heart set on, I would go for it. I have curly hair so I am kinda partial to it but i think it's super romantic especially for weddings. There are also some hair sprays out there that work REALLY well and will keep your hair in place. Big Sexy Hair is one of my faves. If you're really worried about it, there are still plenty of down styles without curls. Just add a flower for that extra something.

  • My hair is straight and doesnt hold anything.  I would love to wear my hair down but I know that doesnt make sense for July.  You can do a soft updo that can still give the romantic look of hair down...with my hair I know it will hold much better up than down.

What styles were you thinking about before??

Btw, I just remembered when I saw your dress pic... did you ever order those red bow flats from dessy? How did it work out? Love? Hate? How is the fit?

Hey Nati,  Yea I did order those shoes.  They're awesome but they fit larger than they claim on the website.

I saw myself with my hair down and in soft curls but I don't think that is gonna work, especially in our scorching humidity induced July wether, plus my wedding is ALL outdoors.
I like the pics LM posted.
