New Hindu Board!

Hey ladies! It would be nice for those having Hindu weddings to start up the new Hindu board! It's great that they are becoming more culturally aware of the weddings going on, on The Knot

While it's great that the knot has become more aware of the differences between the south asian cultures, I think that most of the girls are opting to stick around here!  I personally love the fact that you can get so many different ideas from the girls here.  Plus we can all commisserate on RSVP and guest list issues :-)   Some of the newbies may venture over to that board though, but I hope that they come to the SA board instead :-)

I agree with Meg.  I posted about this below: I don't want all the Hindu girls to leave this board, because then the one Sikh girl, two Muslim girls, and two Catholic girls (or whatever is left) will not have all the support and camaraderie that has been so fantastic here.  And also, I love reading about all the traditions, even the ones that don't apply to me.

My apologies..I didn't mean for any girls to leave the SA Board..I was simply suggesting that those girls having Hindu Weddings could also share their thoughts and experiences on that board, too! It's awesome to be a floater than stick to one board all the time I apologize if I offended anyone and only meant well :]

no apologies necessary!  Just wanted to point out that a lot of girls may just stick around here!  Just so you're not wondering why you aren't getting much of a response on the other board :-)  I'm sure as more newbies come, they'll spread out among the boards more.  Us old-timers are just set in our ways! :-)

WDC put it best; this board is a great resource for all SA brides (and non-SA ladies marrying SA guys).  I'll probably poke my head in over at the Hindu board from time to time, but I'm thinking that this board will continue to get the most traffic and/or that folks will cross-post Hindu wedding questions on both boards.
