For those who are serving candy...

How soon before the wedding are you buying your candy?

I am worried about buying to too soon. Our favors are those sour green apple gummy candies. I don't want them to harden...

I am getting mini vosges chocolates for  our guest and going to wait a couple days before the wedding to get them and place them in a cool place so they don't melt if the weather got hot like this week has been

I would get them now.  That candy has a really long shelf-life.  My wedding is the week after yours & I already have all of my candy, including green apple gummy wedges that my boss gave me from her daughter's wedding this spring (she WAY over bought), and they are still fine.  Just keep them in a cool, dry place.  And don't open them till the week of.

I didn't have time this weekend to do it. I am going to try to do it tonight! Have some other wedding errands to do too.
Alyssa - you are doing hay bale's right? When I was at Jo-Anns in Kent (East HIll) they had cute mini hay bales - about 1 ft sq by 3 ft wide for $12.99.
