Newly Engaged.... Advice Please!

Hi! First post! Im in the Seattle area and just got engaged last week and am trying to secure a date & location soon... but am realizing I have a couple issues:

- we IDEALLY would love a short(er) engagement, but Sept/Oct is a bit too soon for many reasons

- ~75% of our guest list is from out of town

- we would LOVE to have it in Seattle to show off how much we LOVE it here, but are hesitant to fly so many people in during the "ugly months"

Any suggestions, advice or encouragement for Nov-April in Seattle weddings? Or should we just suck it up and wait a year or so??

You never know with the weather around here the last 2 Feb have been rather nice overall. I mean overcast skies nothing new. There are a lot of indoor venues around depending on your budget Dome Room comes to mind
