It's Spring Break week. So my main plan is "Keep Kidlet Entertained." We'll be going to the park, reading books, playing games, etc. He'd be content to sit and watch Blue's Clues all day, but there are only so many episodes I can handle before I start going a little nuts.

Also on the agenda this week:
Today: Bathe Dog, touch up fingernails (I'm starting to nibble on the ones with chipped polish, after over a week keeping my nails out of my mouth)
    Tuesday: PT/OT with Kidlet
Wednesday: New braces and speech therapy with Kidlet
Thursday: R's parenting class, call Goodwill to donate sofa bed if a buyer isn't found
Saturday: henna artist friend is coming over to do belly henna for me (pictures will be forthcoming)

    Belly mehndi pics!  How fun!

My birthday is on Friday, so this week I am taking a break from my current project.  I am sorting my mother's stuff because she passed away two months ago tomorrow.  It's emotionally tough so I look forward to not doing it this week.

Steph - I'll be honest, this is the part of being pregnant I really don't like. The last 6 weeks are always the hardest, physically speaking. It gets difficult to maneuver when you have extra weight in front shifting your center of gravity, and hard to breathe with a tiny person invading your lungs. Insomnia, heartburn, and fatigue all come back then too, not to mention the emotional stuff that comes along with it (at this point, many women are "ready" to deliver and tired of being pregnant). But I know she isn't ready to be born yet, and at this point I'm just hoping she doesn't follow her brother's lead and show up early. FL law regarding midwifery care states that midwives aren't legally allowed to deliver pre-term babies. Anything even a day before 37 weeks is "pre-term," and those babies must be born in a hospital under an OB's care. Kidlet was born at 36 weeks and 4 days.

temurlang - I'm sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I agree that you should take a break sorting her things if you need it.

Hmmm Plans for this week -

Work has been super crazy, and I'm loving every minute of it... it's another transport vehicle avionics and new!  Working side-by-side with the owner's engineers has been an exhilerating experience!  Too hard to describe :-)

I'm in my third week of Nutrisystem for Veggies, and the food is actually pretty good, they don't have a huge international selection, so I'm missing out on all the Indian food... but they do provide a little planner of what you can and shouldn't get at an Indian and even chinese restaruant... hmmm....

I still keep getting poked and mostly poked by soon to be ex... I'm trying to move on, and yet he keeps asking for things...  It's super frustrating, but have been finding time away from his calls, away from his emails has been liberating... I'm just waiting on the paperwork, and dealing with the culture of having a separation seems to be like pulling teeth, because it's unheard of... Believe me, I didn't want to go down this path in the first place, but here we are. Having a great support group means worlds to be able to go through and come out more mature, or more level headed than before.

Oh well, that's a story for some other time, in some other thread or something... I'm figuring a way to keep my head clear of these non-sensical thoughts that float on by through the air....

I hope all of you are in best of health and smile always!

KP, I find that when I have random non-sensical thoughts while dealing with a difficult situation, writing it out helps. No structure, no sense needed; just write what I feel. Writing it down helps me process what I'm thinking and feeling, and sometimes it's jsut cathartic to get the words out so they aren't hanging around mucking up my thoughts when I need to be focusing on something else.

I hope it gets easier for you soon and the process doesn't take too long. I've known some separations/divorces to end quickly, and some to drag on for years. I sincerely hope that yours doesn't drag on and drag you down emotionally. *hugs*

temurlang -- Sorry to hear about your mother!

Hisbeloved -- I have two friends in your same position. They are just ready to go!

KP- My FI is on Nutrisystem too. He's lost quite a bit already. He rarely eats Indian food anyways so it's a good thing for him and he likes the food a lot too.

HisBeloved and DFW -- Thanks!  It was a big shock and so sad that it came so close after the wedding.  But my mom was SOOOO into the wedding so I'm glad she got to be there.

KP -- I'm not familiar with how Nutrisystem works, but I think being healthy while eating Indian food can be done.  We eat mostly veg at home (although we're not veg), and I cook so I know exactly what we're eating.  I use grapeseed or olive oil only, and I don't put much in.  We never have certain foods at home (pakora, samosa, ghee, paneer) and rarely have others (biryani, kebabs, aloo).  We do eat rice because DH is Bengali, but a plain chapati would be better.  Actually, when I want to make sure about my weight, I just stick to (homemade) dal all the time.  It's great that you're keeping healthy and taking care of yourself.  Keep it up!
