1 Month to Go! Any last month (or minute) tips??

Gals - I can't believe it! I only have a month left before the big day. Wow, that came by fast. Last weekend, my bridesmaids and I celebrated my final weekend of being single. If you're in the NYC area for your bachelorette party, I highly recommend hunkomania. It's pretty much Magic Mike live!

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any last minute tips? Is there anything I'm forgetting? The wedding process was pretty seemless for my FI and I (knock on wood that it stays that way). But, due to the ease of planning, I feel like I'm forgetting something huge.

Venue - booked. Food - booked. DJ - booked. Photo/Video - booked. Makeup/Hair - booked. Mendhi - booked. Outfit - purchased. Engagement shoot - this weekend.

I guess I just have the small stuff now (programs, finishing up favors, gifts, etc)...Right?

Thanks for all the help over the last few months!

HItting the one month mark is so exciting! It sounds like you have the big things in place. You have your rings etc and jewelery? I'd start putting together lists for everything. Write down the things that seem mundane or even silly to write, because it's those things that you'll be likely to forget.

Start gathering all your wedding items in once place, so that you're not searching for something last minute.

Finally, remember to relax, too! Enjoy these last few weeks, they go quickly!

  • Make a comprehensive list, as Raangoli suggested.

Get as many of those small things out of the way (i.e. programs, favors, etc.).  Some things have to wait til the last minute, like seating, and something might pop up unexpectedly, so it's best to have as much as possible done.

Get the boxes of wedding stuff ready and make sure there's a plan about how they're getting to the venue.  Also, you can start getting your bag ready.  Some things you might want for the day-of include:  cosmetics, hair spray, hairpins, nail polish, blotting papers, Advil, fashion tape, and safety pins.

If you haven't already, write down the who-does-what-when plan.  This is a helpful way to make sure everything's accounted for.  For example, take the programs:  When are they being printed?  Who is picking them up?  Do they need further work (like tying ribbons), and if so, who is going to do that and when?  Who is taking them to the venue?  How will they get into the hands of the person distributing them?

Make sure to take it easy and rest too!  I got sick right before my wedding, and trust me, that is not fun!
  • Thanks ladies! I have a bunch of different lists going on, but I'm going to start making one super comprehensive list now! Appreciate the advice :)

Maybe you can have a Day of Coordinator but then again less than a month away could be hard to find one. Maybe you can delegate responsibility to a trustworthy person/ friend so that you and your family can have a stress free experience. BTW when r u getting married? Congratulations
