Makeup

Hey Ladies! I am looking for some advice.

I have already tried make-up trials but am not a total fan of how they done my face. I am looking for blush, eye shadow, and lip gloss and want to do it myself. Any products I can use during the hot summer wedding?

Have you tried doing Mary Kay? They actually show you how to apply the makeup so you can do it yourself and will suggest colors and techniques that will make it fun and easy! it might be a fun thing to do with your bms :)

I'm doing my make-up myself. I always joke that I have "teflon" skin as pretty much NO make-up stays on my face longer than 2 hours unless it's nasty theater pancake. However, after 15 years of hunting, I finally found make-up that stays put and seriously, 6 hours later it was still on my face and looking pretty dang good!!

My suggestions are mostly Benefit as my friend works the counter and helped me find the good products.

#1 She-laq   This stuff is MAGIC. It comes off easily with make-up remover but seals the make-up (it is acrylic based) to not smudge so easily and stay put. You can do your eye makeup and then put this on top.

#2 Dr. Feelgood - this is a clear compact that you put on UNDER your makeup. It helps absorb oil all day...a good idea for hot sun.

#3 Stay Don't Stray Primer - put on under your eye makeup, let it dry, then apply rest of makeup. Helps everything 'stick.' I'm actually pretty dang fair, so it works for me as a cover-up, too.

#4 - eye shadow powders don't stay put on me. They either powder off under my eyes for a delicious raccoon look or just melt into my skin. I really like the Benefit creaseless cream. It blends easily. For my wedding look, I'm doing smokey with a base of pinky RSVP, skinny jeans and then Snow BUnny luster dust sparkled all around.

Sorry can't recommend any particular blush. I happen to have a nice pink from Benefit that was a freebie.
DON'T FORGET SUNSCREEN!!! If you like real light foundation, then get a tinted moisturizer with SPF. I use Stila, which is 15 spf and has a light color that just sort of evens out my tone without covering up my freckles or feeling heavy.

I'm a big ol' Bare Escentuals fan. For me, it stays on. I would definitely recommend their primer products... at least the eye primer TOTALLY works!
