Clothes.......

Ladies tell me what are you wearing for all your events/pre-wedding parties that you are having???

Bachelorette party - No Clue
Mehndi/Mayon - Thinking about doing dress changes.  A simple yellow for the Mayon so I don't ruin my clothes while they put that stuff on me and like an Anarkali outfit after that.
Shaadi/Ceremony - Lengha that my sister and I are designing in red and cream with gold work.
Reception - Lengha in pink maybe with some blues.  Still up in the air.....

Am I forgetting any other events???  Love to see pics for those who have any. :)

    Bachelorette - not sure
Rehersal - my bride to be tank :)
    Mendhi - not sure anymore
Sangeet - A sari, then another sari, then a churidar suit
Batna (haldi ceremony) - not sure (something I don't mind ruining)
    Ceremony - Lengha
    Reception - Lengha

    Let's see.

I don't even know if I'm having a bachelorette party yet. So no idea.

We're having two Mehndi parties - one for the bridal party to get theirs done and one for the guests - because bridal henna can take so darn long to do! Both of these are just ideas - nothing definite yet.

oo this is fun.  let's see for the mehndi I'm wearing a green salwar suit, for the haldi - I actually have no idea (my future in laws are choosing something for me), for the wedding ceremony i'm wearing a western style gown (but with some really beautiful indian jewelry) and for the walima ummm again not sure what the whole look will be because my future in laws are choosing that too - think it will be a lengha though.

Ohh nice like a white wedding gown?  Pretty!

Did any of you girls see that episode of say yes to the dress on TLC where the girl (I think her name was Jasmine or something) bought a white wedding gown and died it red!

I saw that episode...she fit in the concept with the wedding dress and the cultural red aspect...I don't know if I could do that, though. It looked so prom-y. She looked cute, though.

@SonaliPop - LOL at "promy"....actually the creator of maharaniwedding also did the same thing.  Her dress looked really good on her.
She's tall and skinny so all the red poof actually worked on her body type

    @meelabeela - Thats awesome...does it have a train?

@Bhanu, yup train and all!  I saw that post that the creator of Maharani Weddings did on her own wedding.  So beautiful.  The red dress looked great on her.  I love colored wedding dresses.  I kind of wish I had been more adventurous with my choice.

Yay! Clothes! I can't wait to wear them all!

Bachelorette party - Short cocktail dress.

Mehndi/Mayon - Green and purple salwar or red sleeveless salwar

Ceremony - Ruby red sari with lots of gold embroidery

Reception - Bright red lehenga with bling. Just picked it up this weekend. Very excited!

If you can't tell, my favorite color is red.

My favorite color is red too - I just can't pull it off well because of my coloring. Plain red makes me look sunburnt (not the look I'm going for on my wedding day, lol), so I had to find something with a softer color for the embroidery.

Meera- that dress is smoking!  I love it! :)

I will be wearing a gold color sari for my gaye hould, and a heavily ornamented tomato red sari for the wedding.  I'm not sure what i will wear for the reception yet, but I know it will be a sari.
