Ugh... Back is out :( long

Well I am back in a wheel chair :( *tear*   *okay lots of tears* but I have an appt on fri with the doctor and hopefully I can get a double shots of steroids or something before the wedding. If I have back surgery recovery will be 6+ months. Well at least I got to go to one GTG. I will let you all know what happens on friday.

Oh I guess a little history might help. I had my daughter (planned c-section) may of 2008. For two weeks I was absolutely fine. I actually lost all my weight!! But then all of a sudden with nothing triggering it no fall no nothing. My back went completely out. I had to be in a wheel chair for 10 months. If I did stand up and walk I looked like a 80 year old woman no joke. My hip goes out to the left and i hunch like crazy.I lived my life from the couch only moving to go to the bathroom. So I gained tons of weight and lost tons of muscle.  Well I was just about to get surgery march of last year but miraculously healed my self. I how no clue how. I could stand and walk perfectly straight with little to no pain. Until now............

Aww I am really sorry. I am sure it will all work out for you. Think about the positives. You have a wonderful FI who has stuck by your side through all of this!!!! I know that even if you are not able to "walk" down the aisle, he is going to love you anyway. Try to keep your spirits up. We will all be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way.

Alyssa, *hugs** What a trial! But PP are correct, you have an FI who has stayed by yourside throughout all this. Some males (not men in my book) just couldn't do that, so you found yourself a real man. I'm sorry you have to go through this though.

I hope things take a turn for the better! At worst case scenario, you could postpone the wedding. I know you wouldn't want to, but that is always an option, and a bright side, right? Back injuries are horrible, and yours is very interesting. Have the doctors had ANY explanation as to what happened? To go from walking to a wheelchair in a matter of weeks and back again is not normal. You're in my thoughts!

Thanks everyone for your support :)

The only real explanation they have given is my RA. But I have had RA since around 13 and I havent had much problems with my back until my daughter was born. My family thinks that something went wrong with the epidural. But even if it had been that I signed a waiver prior to the surgery. Also I wouldnt even know where to start to look into that. I have mention it to all my doctors and they say no it has nothing to do with that and change the subject fast. Ugh the whole situation is aggravating. The just want me to have surgery. But I am super scared to. I have meet I dont know at least 10 people who have had back surgery and not one says it fixed the problem.

I do have three bulges, one slipped disk, tears, my sciatic nerve is permanently pinched, spinoconisis (sp?) the list goes on..:( All of this with no major fall or injury.

Wow, that's scary - I'm so sorry about it coming back.   As for the epidural - I would see another opinon from a different doctor at a different hospital or clinic. I hope it'll heal itself again and stay healed.
