Zodiac Sign

in South Asian Weddings
What's your zodiac sign (taken from another thread, well inspiration from another thread)?

Do you think zodiacs describe behaviors / dominant traits in others?  Or it is what it is? 

I'll go first, I'm Aquarius, and DH is Gemini.  I think sometimes it is what it is. DH keeps telling me, that because he is Gemini, this is how it is.

What do you think?

    I am aquarius too!  DH is a cancer.
    The personality traits run pretty much true for both of us.

    I'm a Sagitarius and FI is a Taurus. We both don't hold completely true to our signs which is a great thing because according to our signs we shouldn't work as a couple :P.

    We're both cancerians. And were born on the same day, same year. Just a few hours apart. We really are essentially the same person. It's fabulous.

    I'm a libra (symbol is the scales)...and I ALWAYS strive for balance in my life - so for me yes the sign describes how I behave. 

    I believe my hubz is a virgo.

    I don't know much about his sign :$

    Wow!  A few hours apart!  The best I can say is my best girl friend and I are two weeks apart, she's older <rolls eyes>

    I was quite curious to see how well the traits play in your lives, and marriage, if they work, or they don't, or sometimes one exhibits signs of another zodiac :)

    I never bothered much with that. I don't agree with the concept of "assigning" character or personality traits to someone based on when they were born. For example, my baby sister is a "Leo", but she's about as un-Leo as anybody could possibly get. Yes, some people exemplify the traits of their sign, but some share almost no traits with the "sign standard," and most people I know don't really fit neatly into any given sign. Deciding or assuming how a person should think, behave, or BE from their birthdate seems limiting to me.

    I had a relationship like that once; he was older than I by exactly 8 hours. We didn't balance each other out enough and we eventually drove each other crazy because we were exactly the same. I'm glad it worked out for you, though!

    Yeah, it's kind of crazy and at first I didn't believe him when he told me his birthday. I demanded proof and looked at his license!

    We have a lot of other similiarities so it's not just that being born on the same day, a few hours apart (I get to be the older woman, hah!) that makes a difference.

    As cheesey as it seems, I sometimes wonder if we knew each other in a past life and were meant to find each other again in this one. It's one of the reasons why I love the Tagore poem "Unending Love":

    "I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times,
    In life after life, in age after age, forever..."

    Ok end cheesey-ness ;)

    That's so cool!

    I've read that Aquarius/Cancer relationships can either be disasterous or the type of love that movies and stories are written about. They definitely take work, but I think that there are many very compatible traits between aquarius female/cancer male that are much overlooked or misinterpreted.

    I'm noticing what Gemini guys are all about - here are some of the traits, I find rather irritating!

    <strong><font color="#000080">Just as I read this I remembered my parents are Aquarius/Cancer... except my mom is the Cancer. My parents are divorced... In thinking about this, I think the Aquarius female/Cancer male relationship is definitely much better than the reverse.

    For me and FI, we want a relationship that neither of our parents had. It also helps that we were friends forever before we upgraded our friendship.
