Official Change of Date

We have officially decided to move the wedding back to from October 1, 2011 to March 23, 2013.  Most of you guys know the reason, but with school and work I am going to need a lot more time to plan an Indian wedding the way I want, etc etc. 

It was between June 2012 or March 2013, but March 23 is our anniversary, so we will be getting married on our 12 year anniversary!! 

Just wanted to let you guys know!

    You have a lot more time to take the wedding planning done, plus school and work are important, and savings :):)

    I like those March dates too - I especially like 3/21 but 3/23/13 has a good ring to it too ;)

    Yeah, first we were thinking about June 2012 and on my birthday fell on a Saturday, but then I realized that if we wait a couple more months, we can get married on our anniversary and initially that's what he wanted to do anyways.  Yeah that definitely give more time to plan.

    Aww I am sad that you moved the date out, but it does make sense with your schedule and your FI's schedule, too. Plus, like you said that gives you plenty of time to plan out the wedding the way you want it!

    Any updates on the vacation you and FI are going to take? Did you decide anything? I want to live vicarously through you! :)

    Sorry to hear about a date change too, but it seems like it's the best plan for you. You don't seem upset by it at all. It's nice to have it on your anniversary! It'll make it extra special... Just June weddings are great Wink

    That is so adorable...getting married on your anniversary!

    At least you have the best chance to get the venue of your dreams...book it now!!!!

    Ranngoli - Nothing has been decided on the vacation plans yet, except that Turkey has also been added to the list.  But he wants t o book after he's back and as to the location, both of us are telling the other to choose a place and when we do, somehow it gets vetoed out.  Its frustrating since we only talk for like 15 minutes and emails are far apart.  But I keep reminding him that since we are traveling during the holiday, we should book it soon, and I am hoping by the end of the month or early next month, we should have it done with.

    Its been so long since I traveled out of the country, I need a passport which I have to go get...another thing added to the list that I haven't done much with.   I will let you know as soon as I know!!

    DFW - yeah, I was upset when we found out, but that was more than a couple of months ago, we just weren't sure if to do it or not. But after the summer school, work kicked my butt for the past month or so, no way am I going to go through that with wedding planning on top of it.  Although I am a bit worried about the weather because in March it can still be very cold sometimes, which would really suck for our recption on the lake, because it would feel like freezing temps.  My biggest worry!!

    Yeah!!  Most of the hotels we were looking at allow to book up to two years early, so I am hoping sometime between March and the summer we can book our ceremony venue and the reception venue is not the same so I will have to wait for that one closer to 1.5 year mark.

    i am sorry that uoy had to change your date ... i do hope everyone in your family and your friends support ur decision ..... school and work is importants and once you have had your priporities figured out you will do fine. my finace and i almost cancelled our wedding because of his mom she is making it very hard for us to be happy and have smooth planning. i hope that that never happens to you
