Confession Thursday!!!

Spill Ladies!!!

Raangoli - Did you send out those invitation? LOL.

Mine:

FI asked me to take care of booking our tickets and hotel for Singapore and I am pretty sure I will screw this up.  He is in California for only another day before they head out to Hawaii and then to Singapore.  I have never booked anything for international travel and he told me I should contact several travel agents and have them book everything if I am not comfortable doing it.  I seriously don't have the time to do research on my own to figure it out and I don't want to screw up.

So what have you guys done?  Which would be better? Going through a travel agent....

I have never had to book my own intenational flight - I went through missions groups and they always handled the  bookings!

My confession - I have a mountain of housework to do today, and the beginnings of a migraine. I don't wanna to anything beyond sleep, and I don't even have that option till 10 tonight at the soonest!

Ready for this...? I mailed out the invites! BOOYA! ;)

@Hina - if you havent booked a trip before and aren't comfortable booking something without having done the research, I would definitely recommend a travel agent. Do you have friends or family that have used one in the past that they can recommend?

    Confession:

I told FI yesterday that I don't think I can be around a particular person during our wedding day. I will probably get annoyed by them and want to punch them in the face.

Thanks Meghan!!  My cousins travel to Pakistan alot, but I don't want to ask them about who they use (we don't get along at all) and I am sure I would get a speech about traveling alone with my FI and etc etc, even though both my parents know and do not see a problem.

I know a friend of mine whose mother is a travel agent but she hasn't gotten back to me with prices and I want to book it before FI leaves for Singapore, so I will contact your trave agent as well.

    Thanks everyone!

Beloved - I can't function when I get a migraine either.  Hope you feel better.

Raangoli - Yay on sending out the invites!!!  I think you will be too busy and too happy to care about this person.  But you can always ask someone in your bridal party to run interference and keep them busy and away from you.

Bells - That's awesome!!!  Your business is really taking off!!

@Hina - I agree - if you aren't comfy, go with a travel agent. I've been all over the world, so I'm used to booking my own travel, and getting visas for certain countries :)

@ Raangoli - Awesome!  Yay!  Invitations are out, get ready to get RSVPs!!

Confession: Secretly excited for an interview that popped up out of the blue yesterday, in a different plant, in the same company :):)

Hi Hina - first I look for great deals in kayak.com even for multiple city routes.  Then I try to get one airline, or sister airlines so that I can book the travel accordingly, then like for Singapore, I do Cathay Pacific.  You can get great deals with them.  I look at orbitz, but I don't really like the fact that they won't tell you how many stops you have to get the cheapest deal.  it's not practical, especially if a connecting flight is 5 minutes after you land!

I'd say do research, and look at timings if you have to.

If you are a student, or want a good rate, I look at statravel.com, else for everyone else I look at http://www.fareline.com/

Due to my mom's experience, she tried www.cheapoair.com and I don't recommend it.  She had about 10 minutes in between flights and it was from one end of the terminal to catch the flight.  She got there, but had to check in any carryons she had because there was literally no space...  It's risky, and very heart pumping if you like that kind of thing though.
