Grand Entrance song?

What did you all use or are planning to use as the songs for yourself, your parents, and your bridal party as you make your grand entrance into your reception? Are you planning on going with South Asian or American music?

Go with something up beat, and lively.

I would love to see all the guests on their feet, cheering and pumped up to see you guys make your GRAND entrance.

Black Eyed Peas - I got a Feeling....is very popular right now for entrances, but we still got a few month for the big summer songs to come out.

We went with a Russian song (my background), but I probably would have gone with an Indian song otherwise.  It was a song traditionally used in a celebration/party setting:

I agree with Abhi that the main thing is to pick something celebratory and gets people on their feet (maybe even dancing!) as you enter.  Personally, I think if it can be a little traditional but also a party-starter that's great.

We did grand entrances for immediate family...each person/family/couple picked their own song...

My BIL and SIL came into "It's the time to disco" (indian song)
My Mom/Dad came into "soni de nakare" (indian song)
My Inlaws came into some Indian song also

My sister walked in with my cousins (she wanted someone to be beside her...as she was wearing 6 inch platform heels lol) she walked into a dance song...it wasn't something i wouldve chosen and I tried to tell her to choose something else...but she didnt

We walked in to "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz which JUST came out on the radio when we used...it was an awesome song and to this day people say..."when i hear that song I think of you guys"

I agree with pp that the newlywed couple should walk into the hall with something fun and will get people cheering....

The BEP song is popular ...but IMHO kind of played out.

The hubz and I wanted to use a song that was kind of recent and that had a party beat to it...another strong contender was OMG by usher...

We came in to the reception hall with the first 30 seconds of DON, the bop bada bop, it really got the crowd going :)

Before that inlaws and my parents came in with an instrumental version of a Jodhaa Akbar song :)
