Colors

Hey girls,

I'm a year out so it's ok if I do this. I want to change my wedding colors!!! I went to my BIL - bother's engagement and they had a peacock theme with the colors Orange and pink. It was so vibrant and pretty!! I really want to do a peacock themed wedding now, but she's a petty person and I know she'll get mad. (experience from my nephew's baptism). I was wondering if you guys can think of anything else beside the peacock that would work or what colors would be as vibrant as the Orange and Pink she used.
I can't use Red and Pink, family reasons.. stupid to get into.
I currently was going with Lavendar, blue and gold.. while I like them I want something that will pop more.
Thanks girls!!!

How about teal and fuschia ? I think those look great together and you could still work in some elements of peacocks if you wanted. Or maybe ostrich feathers? I see those everywhere lately and they look so regal too!

I like the teal but the fushia won't work.. Thank you so much though!
I like the ostrich feather.. the bird itself is a little scary to me.

I've seen teal with different shades of blue!  Remember you can always lighten up with lighting...def something to look into with your decorator and venue

    Check out this video

It looks like a peacock exploded in the room...but I still think its pretty fab!

I think coral, sky blue and white can look fabulous with accents of golden yellow. :)

    Hi Deepthi,

    Here are a few suggestions:

    1. Mango and Turquoise: These are the hottest colors this wedding season. If you want to check out some inspiration boards, you can just google it. Here is another link if you want to check out: http://www.marigoldevents.com/2010/04/the-hottest-colors-for-weddings-in-2010-mango-and-turquoise/

    2. Chocolate Brown and Lavendar: I went to a wedding last year, where they used this color combination, and it looked absolutely gorgeous! They had brown tablecloths with lavendar overlays and beautiful flowers/centerpieces in lavendar with brown accents in the form of branches and such.

    3. For different themes, the options are endless! You already mentioned the peacock theme. You could also do a Bollywood theme, Mediterranean/Moroccan theme, Our first dates theme etc. Here is another link which you can go to http://www.marigoldevents.com/2010/04/indian-wedding-themes/ for themes.

    Hope this helps!
