registry advice (for you)!

Hey everyone,

My wedding was in Dec, so DH and I are in the process of 'registry completion,' where most stores offer you discounts to purchase your remaining registry items.

This is just an FYI, but here's what we were offered:

Crate and Barell: 10% for up to 90 days past your wedding
Macy's: 10% off initially, then we were offered 20% during the home sale, plus free shipping. AWESOME DEALS!
Target: Ew. They sent us a card in the mail that you MUST HAVE when purchasing, and it was only good for ONE DAY! By far the worst.

Luckily, you are able to continue to add stuff to your registries after the wedding, so you can certainly move some items off one registry and add it to another for the best deals. (Hell, I even added some baby gifts to my registry to get the discount for my friend's shower gift, lol!)

Initially I thought Target would be the best (cheapest), but with the selection and great deals, Macy's wins in my book!

Happy planning!

Thanks for the advice :)  FI and I are registered at Macy's and C&B, happy to know about the discounts for after the wedding.

Bed, Bath and Beyond told us that we get 20% off starting the day of the wedding and it's good for 2 years.  Most of our registery is there and a few things at Target.

I agree with her. Macy's is by far the best. I keep adding things to my registry, even now, 6 months later, and every like 3 months they'll give me a 20% discount on our registry. So I buy stuff off it then. It works out great! It should definitely be a registry. I know she probably didn't need back up selling you ladies on it but I felt I had to add my 2 cents worth.
