Candy Bar as a Favor...

Hi Girls!

I was just wondering if anyone here has done the candy bar as a favor idea.  I know its popular and fun.  If you have done so did you arrange it yourself or by your decorator or caterer?

Weddings are sooo hectic and I really wanna avoid doing anything on my own or by my family...

Thanks!
Sim

We had one at our wedding and it was a lot of fun for our guests. We bought the jars and candy ourselves (the jars from another local knottie who was selling hers and the candy from Costco.)

Our venue set up the buffet and filled the jars for us, so maybe you could check to see if they would do it for you?

My friend's did it. They ordered it from somewhere. I LOVED it! I even keep the wrapper and I still have it even though they are divorced... Undecided

    Thanksss Ladies!

That's a great idea I can just order it wholesale online...jars from Michael's and then ask the venue to set it up...Love it!

    Hey,

Wedding favors are cute and fun. Over the last few years we have seen people do candy bars, chocolate covered strawberries in little boxes, religious statues, wine bottles and random things to toss into a showcase. I got plenty of photos from events, let me know if you want to see!

For our wedding, we chose not to do a favor. Rather, we are going to make a donation to a charity in India to support children with autism. We are going to place a small card next to every plate with something like

"Thanks for sharing our special day with us. In lieu of wedding favors we made donation under your name to a very special charity. I know we can count on your for help and support in the future, and to start off our new lives we thought we'd help those who really need it"

You can donate to any charity or cause. I am sure your guests will not mind missing out on a candy bar if they can help some poor child get a wheel chair, immunization for a newborn, research for breast cancer or in our case, special education directed towards new teaching practices for autistic children.

Candy is sweet, but there is nothing sweeter than helping somebody you never even met.

Sorry to change the direction of your post.
