I'm curious as to what to give to your MOH,BM, GM, Best Man, Parents

1.Who did you give gifts to?

2.What did you give your wedding party? Parents?

3.What's something NOT to get for  your party?

1.Who did you give gifts to?  The BM, Ushers (we didn't have groomsmen), and friend who sang in our ceremony.  We got stuff for our parents, but it's a little complicated (explained below) and I did not get my MOH a gift.

2.What did you give your wedding party? We bought the ties for the guys.  I know, it's not thrilling, but the ones my mom wanted were pricey so I thought we should buy them.  They're also a standard blue that can be used often.  For my friend who sang in our ceremony and generally helped me out all day I got a book that I knew she really wanted as well as a nice Jaipuri dupatta.  My MOH didn't do ANYTHING (was late, left early), so I decided it wasn't necessary to give her anything (I know, petty). 

Parents?  So DH's parents are in India and couldn't come.  He always takes them tons of stuff anyway, so it wasn't really special for the wedding.  This time we took a digital camera, razors, dried prunes and raisins, books, chocolates, and cologne/perfume.  For the wedding here, we gave my dad a tie (which he didn't wear).  Then while we were in India we got my mom an antique textile (which is something she really wanted).

3.What's something NOT to get for  your party?  I've always heard that buying their outfit doesn't count as the gift, but we did that anyway.  Also, things that say your name or "so-and-so's wedding" or "bridesmaid" aren't useful.  I think it's nice if the gifts are relevant to the individuals.

ETA:  One of our friends gave the GMs Kindles.

2.What did you give your wedding party? Parents?
BM - I got them duffle bags with their names on it. I'm putting in their sari, under skirt, jewerly, bracelets, and maybe something else I can find for them. I bought the jewerly, under skirt and bracelets the only thing they paid for was the sari itself.
GM - We got them a boot beer cup (some joke of theirs) and coozies with their names on it. We also got half of their tux rentals.
Parents - We are still working on what to get them, but we have parent albums for them after the wedding
Readers - I'm trying to find something for my cousin right now. He's pretty religious so I'm looking around. For Jeff's cousin he has to figure that out
Ushers - The male ones we are getting ties. Generic, but my cousin's loved the ones he got at my sisters wedding. The female ones we are getting tote bags with their names on it.
RB/FG - We bought them their outfits. I want to get them these little cameras I saw on TK Shop. I haven't decided for sure though.
3.What's something NOT to get for  your party? I feel a little wrong for it, but I'm not paying for their hair, make up, or henna.
