Wedding Bands

FI and I were talking about what to get engraved on our wedding bands. We like the idea of having the wedding date on there, but with a twist and having them written in roman numerals instead. It's kind of geeky and a little different.

Are you ladies getting your bands engraved? Or have you? What did you have put on there?

I've seen some funny ideas like "Put Back On" or something, but I want something that I won't get tired of...hence the date.

Or maybe I will have "boss" engraved on his

Personally, my wedding band is too thin to really have engraving on it.  I think it will look wierd, maybe the e-ring but bands does not have enough width.  I am definitely going to get his wedding band engraved, although I don't know what it will have. 

I like "boss" because its a personal thing between you two and you guys have a story behind it.  I think it will bring back great memories.

I love the Roman numeral idea!

Our engagement rings are already engraved with sweet, meaniful phrases.  They are private, so I won't share it here, but we definitely plan to engrave our wedding bands also.

I don't think we can do engravings on ours. His has too many gemstones and they're too close together to engrave anything; mine will likely be too thin to get an engraving done.

I know FI is getting it engraved but he wants to keep it secret till the day..I asked him again today what are you getting engraved on it..he said "smell you later"

I don't think we'll go the "boss" route, but it's funny. I like the roman numerals the best. It appeals to our inner geek!

I like the other suggestions, too. I am not sure how much space we have though...simple is best though I think.

He actually got my e-ring engraved with what Hinaj suggested, in Latin "Love Conquers All" I love it. the wedding bands are too small but the e-ring I won't take off either so it works.

Hi Rangooli... I did engrave his band - but we did not get my band or e-ring engraved (too thin).  On his band I put the following:  date of our first date, date he proposed, and our wedding date.
