Hair and makeup for aunts and cousins

Hi ladies!  Just wondering if you guys are paying for hair and makeup for your aunts and cousins.  Also, whats the average price per person for this? The price my own makeup artist is charging per person for bridemaids and relatives is  $100-125 for makeup, $75-85 for hair, and an additional $25 for draping.  This is just way out of our range.  If anybody has any recs for a hair and makeup person in the NJ/NY area please please let me know!

    No, I'm not paying for hair and makeup for the aunts and cousins. There would be way too many people. I'm getting married in Miami and it is costing me $60 hair and $65 for makeup for the bridal party/family members.

    I am not sure why you would have to pay for your aunts and cousins to have their hair and makeup done? Are they a part of your wedding party? The prices seem reasonable from what I have seen, even for the sari draping.

    I'm not paying for that, no. Although I have been in weddings where my first cousin was getting married and my hair and my Mom's hair were included.

    we were thinking about that too since so many of our family members are staying at our house.  I also asked my MUA and she is charging the same amount as you said, so I was thinking the best thing to do would be for the bridal party to get ready together with the MUA and the other aunties and cousins can get their hair done at a local salon close to our house.  I would tell one of my aunt's in advance and show her where it is and let her know that we will be paying for the services.  This ends up costing only about $30 - $40 per person...just a thought...

    Also, in regards to the draping, most women do not require this service as there will be plenty of aunties that are experts at this. :))

    priya how much is she charging? does she do draping or will family members do it? ps.........holly crap why is make up and hair soo expensive!!

    @Sav83 - Makeup and hair are expensive because the magic word is attached to it - wedding! But honestly, it's the artist/stylist's time to and from the location (if they're coming to you), their time there and a partial cost of the "supplies". I paid waaay more than the prices that are quoted above. It was a lot and took a lot for me, a cheapskate, to pay, but in the end I was so happy with how everything turned out that I am glad I didn't skimp on the price.
