ceremony entrance, suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi girls,
So I am having trouble envisioning our ceremony entrances... My fiance will come in with the more traditional dhol player and family/friends, but now I need to come up with something for my entrance.  We are having the wedding in the hotel courtyard so the set up will be similar to a typical western ceremony with an aisle etc.

1) I'm just not sure if i should have my parents walk with his parents up to their seats...

2) should our brothers and sister in law then follow, again more like a bridal party?

3) should i have both of them escort me down the aisle? we do have a tabla/sitar player for the ceremony music, any suggestions on songs to have them play for my entrance?

What are other people doing, or what have you seen in the past?

thanks!

I'm having this same issue. The ceremony just won't come together in my head.  The set up for our ceremony wil also be typical western style.  I think my fiance will come in with his family to a song or dhol player (we haven't worked that out yet) then I'm going to have my parents walk me down the aisle to an AR Rahman song (kind of a fusion-y choice).  I may have my sisters walk in with me as well but I'm just scared that it'll look to chaotic.

I'm Gujarati-Hindu as well so mine will be similar to BellsnRings.

The groom will come in with his parents, dhol player, and groomsmen.  My parents will already be under the mandap.  My BMs actually won't be a part of the ceremony because we'll be having a Sri Lankan ceremony later where the wedding party will walk down the aisle similar to western weddings.

I'll be walking down the aisle with my Mama (maternal uncle) who is an important part of Gujarati ceremonies.  I plan on carrying a garland of flowers.  While walking down the aisle there will be music played but I'm just not sure what song.  There's a few I've been thinking about:

    1. Latika's Theme
    2. Instrumental Theme from the movie Bombay
    3.  Teri Ore
    4.  O re Piya
    5.  Shanti Mantra by Ravi Shankar
    6.  Any of the Jodhaa Akbar Instrumental songs

That's a long list but I just can't decide.  Each song is great in it's own right but I haven't figured out the feeling I want to evoke while I walk in.

During my brother's wedding, they played "palki mein hoke sawar chali re" from khalnayak (though I think it's too old of a song) as my sister-in-law walked in.
