Dear FI's friend's wives and mothers,
I love that you want to buy outfits for the wedding, but shopping for Indian clothes with 7 people is a little overwhelming for me. Plus, please understand Sarees are not the easiest thing in the world to wear. I've been wearing them since I was a teenager and I just recently can put it on by myself without it looking crazy somewhere. It will take you time to figure it out and we won't be around to put it on you. Hopefully you'll think and a Lenga is pretty and just wear one of those. Hope you understand

Please hurry up and make my ring!  I want to wear it for a few days before the engagement party.  If it’s not delivered by Saturday, I will have to wait until we get to Houston to see it.  Please, I beg of you, hurry!

DFW -- take care of yourself!  I got sick 3 times within the 2 months before my wedding (stress) and I was sick on my wedding.  Not fun!  I was also sick for 2 of the functions in India, but that probably can't be avoided.

Have all those people seen a sari up close?  I'm thinking maybe not, because the Americans who came to our wedding were intimidated by saris and went with silwar kurtas and such instead.  Also, my mom was quite tall, and even finding a silwar kameez for her was really hard and I don't think we would have found a wide enough sari.  Also, a lot of Americans are shy about showing their midriff.  Not that you necessarily do in a sari, but they see that on the models.  I know one of my friends found most of the saris and lehngas too revealing and wore a silwar kameez instead.

Thanks I'll watch out. I actually don't get sick often. I haven't called into work sick for over a year now. I'm better now I think it was more dehydration.

No they haven't seen one up close and personal. I'll find out what they end up doing in a few hours. I hope this place gives us a good discount because I've shopped from them and brought quite a few people. I don't want these ladies to spend too much money. I'll get all kinds of Indian haggling on them.
