Does anyone know where to order garlands online?

We got ours at fancyflorist.com.  They were beautiful!

I know many people who have ordered different products from fancyflorists...they were all satisfied customers :)

We didn't order online...instead we have asked our local florists (same person who is doing our ceremony flowers - bouquets and boutiners) to create the jai malas

    Thanks, ladies.

After looking at the pictures carefully, I know I could DIY them.  I'm pretty crafty and have done flowers for quite a few weddings. Laughing

I was going to suggest fancy florist, too. But any florist could make them for you too if you showed them what you are looking for...but then there is always the DIY option and that way you really get what you want!

We did DIY instead - folks online were charging anywhere from $100+ and shipping for the bride groom malas/garlands.

Three types of carnations - you can get at your local grocery store/sam's club/costco, make sure that the flowers are slightly open (easier to thread) - more of one color than the other two - and double thread or even triple thread the flowers, and a large, thick needle.

After you are done with the flowers put them in the fridgerator in one of the drawers with a moist paper towel under them so that they stay fresh and cool.  I did them two days before.

I did 2 bunches of the white, one bunch or red, one bunch of pink = 4 bunches for one garland.

kpwedkk-  You, dear, are FABULOUS!  Your malas are gorgeous and exactly like I'm wanting.  I think I will definitly go with the DIY route.  Thanks for the tips on how to make them too.
