my fiancee is Filipino and I am American (read: white). Even though we have the same faith, it has been very interesting to see the different traditions his family is expecting to be a part of the wedding. For example: his family gave a pamanhikan (sp?) and all the men are wearing barongs in our ceremony!
One thing, though: I really want to say something in Tagalog to him in our ceremony, but don't know what is best. Is there anything culturally significant that is said in Tagalog by Filipino brides and grooms?
I would appreciate any advice! : )
