Bridgewater Marriott / Morristown Hyatt - NJ Venue Reviews?

Here I am again with all my questions, sorry! This board has been a great resource and very VERY helpful so far though!

FI and I are looking for venues to host our reception and (possibly) have our ceremony at as well.  The short list has both the Bridgewater Marriott and the Morristown Hyatt and I wanted to see if any one had any opinions on either location.

I think I remember seeing that a former desi Knottie had her ceremony and reception at the Marriott, but I can't remember who. Does anyone remember?

I'd love to hear any thoughts anyone has on either location - at the Marriott we'd have to bring in a caterer (Moghul, Chand Palace, or Shalimaar possibly) or the Hyatt has the indian restuarant onsite that would be providing the food.  We've decided to cap our guest list at 150, so it would be a "small" Indian wedding, if that makes a difference.

Thanks for your thoughts! Smile

Thanks, Bells!  I didn't realize that the Indian restaurant the Hyatt is owned by Moghul. That's always good to know, at least the food will be good!

I think we are going to check out both places and see which is "easier" on our wallets. Ahh budgets...can't live with them, can't live without 'em!

Hi!  I just started looking at places for my desi wedding in the Morristown area.  I am also having a "small" wedding capped at 150.  Could you tell me how much per person at the Morristown Hyatt and the Bridgewater Mariott?  Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Virendra, welcome to the boards! Congratulations on your wedding!!!

it depends on your catering, and decor, and which day of the week you are planning to have your wedding....

It might be good to call them up directly, and ask:

    Morristown Hyatt - http://morristown.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/events/weddings/catering.jsp

    - John DiLorenzo 973-889-2015

    Bridgewater Marriot- http://www.marriott.com/hotels/event-planning/wedding-planning/sosbw-bridgewater-marriott/

    - Phone:  1-908-927-9300

    Hope that helps!!
