Recessional Song

Looking for some opinions here...

For after the ceremony when we walk down the isle, I wan't something kind of fun to capture the moment... I have always been in love with the little tune "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler (from the Wedding Singer!) ...

We would probably have a friend sing it and record it, or find a different cover of it, but I think he sums it all up so perfectly!

Is this a little weird? I'm walking down the isle to traditional music, so I'm worried they won't mesh well.

We aren't having a tradtional reception, just a nice supper (no dancing or dj, its a small, family only wedding) so I feel like this is the only time to play it really....

Any feedback would be great!

I love the song and think it's a GREAT recessional choice. I regularly tell my sweetie that I want to get old and wrinkly with him. I think it's a great sentiment for your wedding and will fit fine given your non-traditional reception.

Thanks for the feedback! We're definitely going to go with it, and I think a non-adam sandler cover will make it a little less goofy for those who will recognize the song.

I think it's cute. I've always liked that song too. I think it's fine to have an Adam Sandler version if you want but it would def be more personal to have a good friend/family member sing it instead.

Yeah, I think it is a cute idea! Our recessional is a RickRoll - we are planning to blast "Never Gonna Give You Up" after we are announced as Mr and Mrs lol

A fun recessional song just adds to the fun! We had Good Life by One Republic and I loved that we went with something upbeat! I love that song, and say totally go for it!
