what do you girls think of this dress?

Hi girls!
I am new to this board, and I'm so excited to be planning! I just started to look at wedding dresses, and I was wondering what you guys think of the following Maggie Sottero dresses and Casablanca dress...

#1 Tamara

#2 Leilani

Casablanca
#3 2010

I really like #1 a lot...but is the asymmetrical overlay weird? Thanks so much for your input!!

I like #2 the best.. #1 is a little too funky for me and #3 looks really heavy for some reason.. I do love Maggie dresses (mine's a maggie).

I like them all, actually. Are you going to try them on?

Personally, I like #3, but its what you like and what looks best.  Go try more on!

    Congrats and happy planning.

I think all 3 are very, very pretty. Didn't think #1 was weird. A split skirt is popular. I didn't like #2 with the detachable train. I think wearing it as a veil is a great idea. Loved my Maggie gown.

I personally really like #1. I'm very partial to the slim a-line dresses with corset closure and empire waist. #2 would be my second choice. :) It really matter what you think looks best on you! You are the bride and you want to feel fabulous! So go with which one you love!

Welcome & congrats!  As PPs hint, you'll get very varied replies since everyone has their own personal taste.  I think it's a matter of which one YOU love on YOU.  Personally, I love #1.  It's unique and I'm a HUGE fan of corset style dresses.  I'm wtih one of the PPs on the detachable tulle train on #2, not a big fan.  And #3, I like the scallop edging on the train, but that's about it.

I actually love #1 the best!

I like #1! BUT (as I personally stalked Maggie dresses online for months), I must suggest that you try them on before making a decision. I ended up loving a completely different (also semi asymmetrical) Maggie! Good luck

I liked #2 without that detachable train thing. I think it's too too much as a veil, too.

    I like #3 best.

But, as you'll find as you try on a number of dresses, some you'll see in pictures and fall in love, put them on and be completely disappointed. Whereas others you may see and if you are in a salon that isn't super stingy about how many you can try on, you may find a couple you aren't particularly keen about, decide it can't hurt to take ten minutes to put them on and find something that you slip on and it's magic.

I like #2 best, but I'm kind of a sparkly, big poofy dress loving AW Wink

I also like #1 and #3.  Comparing how you look in each dress is super important, but I think your venue/theme is also very important in choosing a dress.  If you are having a super vintage/retro theme #1 might not work, but if your wedding is a lil' modern #1 would be perfect!

But if you really LOVE a dress, then the venue/theme/time of day/etc doesn't really matter.  Your happiness will overshadow any dress!

I think all 3 are pretty!  I didn't think #1 was weird at all, but it is less "classic" if you're going for that look.  As PP's have said, try them all on and see which looks best on you and see which goes best with the overall look/feel you're going for that day.  Good luck!

#2 and #3 are my favorites, but like everyone else said try them on and you have to go with what you like best and feel comfortable in.

PPs have it covered! Ditto the you can be surprised by what you like when you try it on. It's a good idea to just try on something if the bridal consultant brings it to you because they have a lot of experience with so many people, they can often suggest something you wouldn't have gone for but it ends up being IT.

Personally, I like #1 the best. I actually tried on #3 and since I'm only 5'4", I didn't like the bottom. The beading is odd in that it's really heavy at the bottom...but then the dress extends another couple inches. On me, it basically cut off those extra inches visually and I felt stumpy.
