Hello! I haven't posted any formal introduction here yet....I've been sort of lurking for quite a while. I feel out of all the boards, this is where I belong the most!
So here is my current dilemma:
My fiance and I are getting married next October and I've been serching venues. We live in Va but the venues out here are just not what Im picturing in my mind. I want an outdoor ceremony and reception. So I stretched the search and have been looking in NC. Well I think Ive found it. But its pricey! Our budget is 10k...and the rental fee for this place is 5500. It includes rental grounds for the entire day, overnight stay for 12 guests, chairs, tables...and I think thats it. Oh, I forgot to mention its a FREAKING CASTLE!!! Its beautiful! It has a garden that looks like it was pulled straight out of a fairy tale. Im in love.
My question is, is this an outrageous price for JUST the venue? I plan on DIYing a lot of the elements anyhow but thats obviously over half my budget and there are still so many other things to take into consideration. Dress, cake, flowers, decor, photog...FOOD. Is it too much?
